Mission of the Month: New York State Parks
My son loves playing Agents of Discovery. A new Mission at Green Lakes State Park always gets him out the door on days he would rather stay home watching TV.
New York State Parks has been creating Missions with Agents of Discovery since early 2021. They may have started with only a few Mission sites, but their reach has grown all over the state. New York State Parks is fully geofenced, which means that when you open up the Agents of Discovery app at an NYSP location, you’ll see this customized home screen.
New York State Parks has two new fall themed Missions. The first Mission is centered around Green Lakes State Park, and is called “Mysterious Green Lakes from Home”. This Mission is a virtual tour, meaning you can play the Mission at home and learn about the park. Green Lake is a rare lake full of unusual aquatic species, and this Mission reveals its many secrets.
The second fall Mission is a collaboration between New York State Parks, Wonders of Wildlife and Toys R Us. It’s called Hallo-Wild! You can also play this Mission from home, or at select Mission sites across the state. Hallo-Wild highlights creepy crawlies and debunks the myths associated with them – you won’t want to miss it!!
