Universities & Libraries

Looking for a way to connect with your guests and get them excited about exploring your location? The Agents of Discovery platform uses gamification to engage and educate, so your guests can learn and have fun at the same time. Lead visitors on a tour or create themed Missions for holidays and special events. All your visitors need in order to play is a smartphone or tablet and the free Agents of Discovery app (which also features a Text-to-Speech option for increased accessibility).

Agents of Discovery was the perfect platform to onboard first- year students to their new home at one of the most beautiful college campuses in the country. Not only were we able to move people throughout campus for fun challenges, we were also able to incorporate the voice and wisdom of current students sharing tips to be successful at USD throughout the mission. This allowed us to utilize our biggest assets, student leaders and our beautiful campus, without having to gather in person during the pandemic.

Challenges

Every Mission is made up of Challenges. Challenges are questions which are location-based and safely placed wherever the Mission Manager chooses. There is a variety of types (AR Picker, Image 50/50, Sound Matcher, and others). Challenges also include Pre-Challenge information and Post-Challenge information to extend/enhance the players’ learning experiences.

Missions

Different “Missions” (or “games”) are published to the Agents of Discovery mobile app. These are created by Agents of Discovery “Mission Managers” and are specific to their site (e.g. a park, museum, or similar). Once players are physically present at a participating location (e.g. Griffith Park in Los Angeles), they can play the Mission. Each Mission consists of a map of the location, a Field Agent to guide players, location-based “Challenges” (or “questions”) and rewards. Players unlock and solve the Challenges through exploration of the site.

All customers can also upload custom maps of their own.

Geobranding

Once you have multiple Missions, you can get your location geobranded. This enables you to be in full control of your brand, so that when your players open the app, the first thing they’ll see is your custom artwork.

With geobranding you will also receive your own private collection in the library, making it easy for you to share and publish content with your team.
