Hey, Agents! We’re getting very excited as we begin our Fall Explorer Campaigns and gear up for our huge fall release with our new and improved statistics. For this month, we’re focusing on:
Going ABCD
(Above and Beyond The Call of Duty)
This time around we wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to some of the outstanding and creative efforts our partners have made to promote their Missions. Check out the amazing examples below — both on the big and small scale — from partners that have taken charge of their own promotional campaigns.
Crystal Cove State Park is one of the newest partners to join under the California State Parks team. Their caretaker, Agent Anna the Hummingbird, has a fierce adversary in the form of Littering Larry the Raccoon, who has escaped and is on the loose!
As an honorary Agent of the Moro Canyon Environmental Study Loop, the team at Crystal Cove is counting on you to put down the paw on this polluting prankster’s threats to the ecosystem for good.
Agent Anna has many friends in high and low places waiting to help you track down the renegade raccoon — all they ask is for your help in cleaning up the mess he’s making.

There are also things you can do on a smaller, more immediate scale to reach your visitors — and they really don’t require much time (or any money!) to put together. Our friends at the City of Santa Clarita have taken wonderfully to social media and are some of our first partners to make major waves in TikTok! Take a look at the trailer above for their Harry Potter-themed Mission.
I don’t know about you, but I’m a little jealous of all the fun they must have had putting this together! It only takes a spark of creativity to turn your objectives into a team-building exercise — and it shows visitors that they are in caring hands when they engage in your adventures.
You can also take your ideas beyond just your promotional efforts and use your creativity to instruct guests on how your Mission works! Check out the segment in this video from the team at Patuxent River Park, who took a moment to explain their Mission and prize system in-depth to visiting guests! It is an amazing idea to incentivize guests with rewards for completing Missions at your location, which is something that happens all year round at Patuxent River, even when the DC Explorer Campaign is over.
Walking your guests through your Mission will also get families and parents excited to make a visit with their kids, once they see how easy it is to download and start playing your Missions!
