Dinosaurs

Happy Summer, Mission Makers! We hope you’re enjoying the warmer weather, but if you’re currently hiding from the heatwave, we have some ways to pass the time with some new additions to our 3D AR Asset Library:
Dinosaurs
While our team takes a break from adding new game-changing features to the platform, we decided to expand our AR assets library with some of the suggestions we’ve received from partners. If there are particular creatures you’d like us to add to the AR Sorters and AR Sequencer Challenges (or as models for the AR Catch), let us know! This collection is one example of your feedback at work, and was put together thanks to popular demand for dinosaur-themed Missions this summer.
Below is a preview of our new additions from the prehistoric era; many of them move!

Some of our partners have already put together Challenges utilizing these new models! Here are some from the Bureau of Land Management for their National Dino Mission:

Here are some other easy examples of Sorters and Sequencers you can utilize:
Sorter Ideas:
- Herbivores vs. Carnivores
- Prehistoric Creatures vs. Modern Era Creatures
- Reptiles vs. Mammals
Sequencer Ideas:
- Sorting Dinosaurs By Size (a T-Rex may be bigger than a Stegosaurus, but let’s see one take on an Apatosaurus!)
- Food Chain (show how a herbivore consumes plants but may be eaten by a predator)
If you are at a National Monument or National Forest that has paleontological exhibits, you can make your Missions about some of the geological formations and some of the fossils that may have been discovered within. Here are some examples of fossil-related Challenges from other partners:

Other Examples
If you’d like to see more examples, we recommend visiting the Challenge Library and searching by the following Tags:
- General > Earth and Space Sciences > Geology
- General > Life Sciences > Reptiles/Amphibians
Don’t forget that there’s also a keyword search, if you’re looking for particularly themed challenges!
You can also check out an amazing set of Challenges from BLM’s “Discover Dinosaurs – Junior Ranger Program” Mission! It is a Virtual Tour Mission so you can play it from anywhere without the need to access Preview Mode.
Finally…
Please remember that we are adding to our library all summer and are hoping to collect more feedback about things you would like to see in the Mission Maker. Drop us a line if you have any suggestions!
