Diversifying Challenge Types

Setting up different kinds of Challenges is an easy way to make your Missions more fun and engaging for your players. Players appreciate diversity in their experience, and using a variety of Challenge types is a great way to keep them interested in your Mission!

Check out these cool Challenge types that you can add to your Mission:

AR Challenge Types

Agents of Discovery uses Augmented Reality technology to link location to learning, and turn the real world into a platform for fun and educational games. These Challenge types are part of what make Agents of Discovery a unique and super-engaging platform for digital native users who play your Missions!

Image-Based Challenge Types

Missions with mostly text-based Challenge types are less engaging for players than Missions that use more visual cues. Try using more image-based Challenges to make your Missions more interesting to play! Here are a few examples:

Image 50/50

In an image 50/50 challenge The player has to pick the best possible answer between two image-based choices. You can ask multiple questions in this type of challenge!

Image Checklist

This is just like a text-based multiple choice question, but using images instead! It’s much more visually engaging for players, and we think it lets you be more creative with the kinds of questions you can ask:

We also have plenty of text-based challenges that are very easy and quick to set up in the same format as our image-based challenges. Keep in mind that while those Challenges are much easier and quicker to set up, they’re also not nearly as exciting — we have seen some feedback shared in the past where the Mission they played was ALL text Challenges, which, as you can imagine, is a little disappointing when you’re out there to look up and around!
