New Prizes!

Welcome back, Mission Makers! With the holidays coming around the corner, we wanted to try and get you into the spirit of giving early, with an updated guide on new prizes!
This month we are focusing on some updates to Snapchat Filters, and we’ll also take a look at the Digital Badges we are putting together in the Agents of Discovery app. Along with Digital Badges, we’ve seen some partners put together their own passports and punch cards to track Mission progress!
Snapchat Filters
Remember back when we first talked about Snapchat Filters and how you needed a second device to scan the QR code to unlock the filter? Not anymore!

Moving forward, if you’ve created a geofilter for your parks or public spaces, or your city as a whole, guests can find these simply by swiping left through their available filters on the Snapchat app. Any Geofilters that are set up in your current location will appear automatically alongside the regular filters available for use.
Aside from this, the process of creating a Geofilter is still the same. Read our first article on Snapchat Filters if you want to learn more!
Digital Badges
Coming soon to the Agents of Discovery app, players will receive a unique badge for each Mission they have completed! These badges are “tokens” of the player’s completion of a particular Mission. As a partner, you can put together and offer prizes based on a particular collection of badges your players have obtained. For example, try offering a bonus prize to players who have completed at least five other Missions across your city, and simply look for the badges in their collection pertaining to those Missions!
This is still a work in progress, but we hope to launch our first iteration in time for the SoCal Explorer Campaign. Look forward to this amazing update if you are in the area!
While our Digital Badges get closer to their official launch, we have seen partners create similar kinds of sweepstakes and are happy to show you some examples below:
Passports and Punch Cards
Above is an example of the Punch Card system developed by the Geauga Park District for their Missions at The West Woods. This team creates monthly Missions and gives out an amazing new prize each month for guests that visit and complete them! If you visited the West Woods during both June and July, you could punch out both boxes in the card above and win a waterproof picnic blanket that’s perfect for outings and further park visits!
The City of Abilene also developed a similar Badge Book throughout the summer designed to offer badges at different levels for each Mission the guest completed in their collection!

For parks and public spaces, this is an especially great idea if you have a lot of regular visitors! They’ll have a brand new Mission waiting for them next time they visit.
