Update: Visual Tour Missions!
A Simpler Way to Host Missions From Anywhere
2020 has given many of you the opportunity to create Image Triggered Missions. We have really enjoyed hearing about your successes, challenges and discoveries with the launch of these unique play at-home learning experiences.
While Trigger-based Missions have produced some amazing results during closures and other complications caused by the pandemic, we wanted to address the demand for an easier way to create Missions that guests can play remotely.
To that end, we’re introducing a new play-at-home Mission called Visual Tours — a new experience for learners at home, with Challenges that are available without the need for GPS or Triggers.
Play Missions right away with no GPS or Image Scanning required!
Just load the Mission — and play the Challenges.
Learn all about the history and mysteries of public spaces in your neighborhood and all across the globe even if they aren’t open!
How to Set Up Visual Tours
To create a Visual Tour, the Mission Maker is now set up to allow unassigned Challenges in a Trigger Mission.
Simply change the Mission Type from GPS to Trigger ( do NOT set it to Mixed ) on the Edit Mission page and do NOT link any Challenges to your Trigger Groups.
If you currently have Trigger Groups for your play-at-home Mission, make sure to unlink your Challenges from them.
You can replace your Map with a photo of your location by uploading a Custom Image. (You’ll see this option at the bottom right of the Edit Map page). Place your markers on the photo to align with the features you wish to share with your players.
