Well Mission Makers, summer vacation is wrapping up and the most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner:Â Explorer Campaign Season!
Our Bay Area and Puget Sound Explorer Campaigns launched earlier this summer, and something we wanted to show off in this month’s blog is a cool new feature we’ve recently added to our Explorer Campaign pages:
Leaderboards
At the bottom of our Explorer Campaign pages, you’ll see a graph which tracks each Mission belonging to each partner within the region, using data pulled in real time from our Mission Maker statistics.
Instead of waiting for weekly numbers from our team, if you are participating in an Explorer Campaign, you can now view updated user numbers pulled during the campaign at any time!
The above photos are examples of our new Leaderboard tool, which lets us pull data from the Mission Maker to display on a webpage in real time. We can track:
~New user numbers gained since the start date~
~The total distance your players have walked~
~The total amount of time they spent~
Why are we getting so excited about this?
While we’re testing this on our Explorer Campaigns, we’re aiming to make this service available to your teams to track your own Mission data and share it on your websites. You’ll be able to create your own Mission Campaigns in which your guests can compete to finish Missions, and your parks can compete for users or use the system to promote physical activity by rewarding players based on distance traveled or time spent on a Mission outdoors.
This will eventually involve us passing your team some data that you can put directly onto a webpage – preferably on your Agents of Discovery page, if you have one! …We’re just working on making this raw data a bit more presentable before we streamline the service.
Don’t worry – we’ll make this look a bit nicer! 🙂Â
