USFWS – Desert National Wildlife Refuge

Our hope is that AoD will allow us to connect with older youth and younger, digital-native generations to better engage with refuge resources, promote conservation efforts, and foster future stewards of public lands.

Welcome to the Desert National Wildlife Refuge, the largest wildlife refuge outside of Alaska! As you explore this Mission, you’ll discover new and exciting facts about the refuge and learn about the species that call this land home. Once you begin to walk the trails, you’ll see challenges appear on your Mission Map once you’re close enough to play them!

The current DNWR Mission is broad and covers a lot of basic, introductory info about the refuge. The eventual goal is to create new Missions that are specific to an event or topic, such as human history!

Be sure to always watch where you are walking and remember to look around! Dress according to the weather and stay hydrated. Please stay on trail at all times, and do not approach, touch, or attempt to feed any wildlife. Looking forward to seeing you play the Mission!
